WORKSHOPS AT CULTIVATE
Our courses offer the opportunity to work on a range of hand-building and decorating techniques. Over the six evening sessions you can decide to make multiple small objects or focus on one project. Suitable for complete beginners or those who have experience with clay but would benefit from this focused workshop time. We offer small class sizes and the unique opportunity to learn from one of Cultivate’s practising artists in an intimate setting.
Our classes take place in our intimate, artist-led studio in East London, where making, experimentation and conversation shape everyday studio life. Cultivate is a small community of artists, each with their own approach to clay and materials. We teach with the emphasis that there is no single way to work with clay. Whether you are new to ceramics, developing existing skills, or seeking to deepen your practice, we adapt to different levels of experience and ways of learning. Small groups allow space for questions, experimentation, mistakes and individual guidance. Rather than following a rigid method, we encourage you to explore the material yourself, supported by the knowledge of the leading artist.
